Sky Brown, a 14-year-old British Olympic medalist, won the World Championships Skateboard Park competition in Sharjah on Sunday.
Brown won the gold medal with a score of 90.83 in the first qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Kokona Hiraki of Japan came in second, and Sakura Yosozumi, who is the defending Olympic champion, came in third.
“It’s insane to be back on the podium with these guys. I just assumed that I would simply enjoy whatever occurred. “It was an amazing feeling to hit all of my runs,” Brown told Sky Sports.
Lola Tambling, a teammate of Brown’s who is also 14 years old, placed sixth.
Brown became Britain’s youngest summer Olympian when she won bronze in the park competition at the Tokyo Games.
